Take-Offs

Digital software is used to produce detailed and accurate on-screen take-offs from the project architects drawings. The software can also be used to produce highlighted scope drawings visually defining scope inclusions/exclusions.

Calculation in system dedicated software

Technical designing & estimating of windows, doors & facades is done with dedicated calculation software ie. SchueCal+, Logikal Orgadata. License & pricing structure to be provided by the client. Obviously we will treat each enquiry as strictly confidential.

Co-operation with your Design Team

The synergy between an estimator and a designer is paramount in achieving successful project outcomes. Cooperation fosters an environment where value engineering opportunities can be identified and implemented. By working together, the estimator and designer can assess different materials, construction methods, and design modifications that may enhance project value without inflating costs.

Priced Bill of Quantities

Priced bill of quantities are provided using an Excel estimating package. The rates used are project specific and built up using material prices received from your preferred suppliers. Labour rates, attendances/prelim requirements and markups to be mutually agreed.

Tender Submission Document

We can generate the comprehensive tender submission package, including elements such as a cover letter, Bill of Quantities, scope drawings, specifications, and clarifications. We are flexible to either utilize your existing standard templates or develop customized ones based on your preferences.

My name is Piotr Lewandowski - founder of Dengler Estimating.

I’m a professional estimator with 10 years experience (Ireland & UK) in Glazing Systems. I have worked with leading aluminium facades & glass suppliers in Europe. I worked for manufactures, installers and envelope contractors. I’ve prepared Tender Submissions, Bills of Quantities, Take Offs, 3d modeling and I worked closely with designers and architects.

My journey in the glass industry commenced at Weather Care Windows, a small window and door manufacturer in Ireland. I was fortunate to work under the guidance of Jim Kenny, who believed in my potential and invested in my training in

glass and aluminum systems. Starting from inspecting deliveries in the Yard during unfavorable weather conditions, I dedicated weekends to gaining insights into the manufacturing floor, understanding the assembly of systems, and comprehending the time required for each operation. Through dedication and hard work, I progressed to the role of bid manager, overseeing projects valued at over 1 million euros.

Accumulating experience and knowledge proved instrumental in being sought after for an Estimator position at Prater Ltd, one of the leading envelope contractors in the UK. The scale and complexity of projects, coupled with the professionalism of the Prater Team, were exceptional. Working alongside industry experts, I had the privilege of contributing to significant projects, with a highlight being the Heathrow T2A Queen’s Terminal - Ancillary Facades as the leading Estimator.

The next phase of my career unfolded at NA Curtain Walling, a company that swiftly evolved from being a top installation firm to also being a manufacturer. One of the most iconic and prestigious projects I had the opportunity to work on was the Bloomberg Headquarters in London, designed by Foster + Partners.

After dedicating 9 years to serving my community as the Mayor of my hometown, I am now returning to pursue my passion for glass and glazing systems in modern architecture.

Upon receiving the inquiry, we will carefully review the provided information and subsequently prepare an email proposal. This proposal will outline: 1) the scope of works we deem necessary, 2) any exclusions, 3) the proposed fee, and 4) an approximate return date. Typically, we aim to respond with the proposal within 1 to 2 working days. It is essential for clients to ensure that the proposed scope of works is accurate and comprehensive to their satisfaction.
